  • Yi-Tan Weekly Tech Call #
    228
    2009-04-27
    (
    Monday
    )

    Although we crossed up our signals for call 226, we still had a lovely conversation about Wikipedia -- but without Andrew Lih, the author of the new book, The Wikipedia Revolution.

    We're not only going to fix that, we're going to raise the stakes: Andrew's co-host will be Ward Cunningham, the inventor of the wiki.

    With Andrew and Ward, let's discuss:

    • How has Wikipedia affected the world?
    • What lessons can we take from it?
    • What are Wikipedia's next frontiers?
    • What do wikis say about human nature?

    Note that Andrew was featured in the March 28th New York Times articled titled Wikipedia: Exploring Fact City

    As always, an IRC chat will be available during the call at #yitan. (Not familiar with IRC? Just join us here.)

    We tweet as @yitan (and use #yitan as our hashtag). Please follow us on Twitter. This page is on the web here.
