    IRC is Internet Relay Chat, one of the oldest forms of multi-party text chat, to take notes and coordinate the conversation here.

    Unlike Yahoo Chat or most other messaging systems, it does not require registration.

    If you are running the open-source Firefox browser (which we recommend highly), you have a quick way to add IRC by installing the extension called Chatzilla.

    XChat-WDK also looks quite good.

    Microsoft's Internet Explorer does not yet feature IRC, but you can install mIRC or many other client apps.

    Once your IRC client is installed, click on #yitan to get to the right room.
